Finnish melodic death/black metal act NORTHER is about to return with the highly anticipated follow-up to 2008's "N" album, which charted on #5 in the official Finnish album charts. NORTHER - announce new guitarist; working on a new album! Finnish Melodic Death Metal act NORTHER have issued the following update: "During the last couple of months Daniel Freyberg from Naildown has been helping us out with our recent live duties. Since he turned out to be a perfect fit in every way we decided to offer him to become a permanent member of the band. Besides his skillfull guitar work he is also a talented songwriter. We have started composing new material for the next full length studio album which will be tentatively out in autumn 2010. At the moment we have a big bunch of great tracks from which we will start choosing the best ones for the album."The cream always rises to the top so no filler allowed" As a grand opening for our fans we are heading to Astia Studios next weekend to record one new song with our longtime producer Anssi Kippo. Finnish metal titans NORTHER released their new album, N, on September 30th in North America. The record marks the band's Century Media debut and features two bonus tracks from the No Way Back EP, "No Way Back" and "C.U.S.," along with a video for the track "We Rock." In celebration of the release, the band launched into a quite successful tour of Canada with their friends in Nefastus Dies. Now that NORTHER has returned home to Finland, the band has posted their footage online at both their [MySpace page](http://www.myspace.com/norther) and their [YouTube channel](http://www.youtube.com/kermanisu).
